This space currently serves as an underutilized formal living room with easy access to a patio we never utilize. We would like this living room/patio combo to become a gathering space where we can take advantage of the outdoor living space/patio overlooking the pool. This room is the brightest room in the house, so we would like for it to become a comfortable and less formal space where our two teenagers can hang out with their friends. It is the central room of this open house, with views immediately from the front entry way/dining room. It needs to be an inviting gathering space.
Our goal is to have the indoors flow to the outdoors. We need a space for our two teenagers and their friends to be able to have easy access to the kitchen and pool, so we would like this living room and patio to become an inviting space with ample seating for friends.
(We have a hutch/buffet in the dining room [images included, 80"x24"] that crowds the space, so if it can be utilized in the living room, that would be great.)
We are not looking for any structural changes -- we are just looking for a design/furniture updating.
Existing furniture can be reupholstered or removed entirely and replaced. The piano will not stay.
No need to put a TV in the living room. On the patio is a potential option that could be explored.
