I apologize because I discovered your great project at the very last minute and I worked as fast as I could to still get a submission in before the deadline.
Your project has incredible potential and I would be exremely happy to work it through with you to make a dream home for you and your dogs.
The project reminds me of a beautiful build out I did years ago in New York and it would be my pleasure to fully engage with you to bring out the full charme of the place.
About the design:
The living room / dining room area connects the front and the back of the house and the twosided fireplace creates a key element joining the spaces together. The kitchen opens up into the dining area and becomes and further element in the seuence of the spaces around the fire place.
The former dining room becomes a mudroom/ storage unit which can be entered directly from the car port and is smartly located next to the pet clean up station. ( I have two labradors myself and I know how important a well functioning clean up station is.)
The master bedroom is now a true master with a generous bath and a walk in closet wiht again lots of storage. The carpet flooring runs all the way from the master into the walk in closet and the bath with the tile floor is enclosed by the two rooms and forms a small oasis of relaxation.
Additional storage can be found in the guestroom and along the wall of the living room.
The aim was to create open and flowing spaces that allow for a lot of freedom and still maintain purposefull and well dimensioned spaces. Additionally I di my best to incorporate all of your suggestions.
I would be glad to fully work through the proposed design including renderings, detailing and colour schemes, yet the deadline is in a few hours, therefore I would have to do that after the end of the contest.
I hope you like the design.
